The 2017 Kingwood March of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, at the site of the future Holocaust Garden of Remembrance at Kings Harbor in Kingwood, TX.

The day will open with a service featuring Lone Star College professor, Dr. Thilo Schimmel and students, Dr. Victoria and Paul Sarvadi, various ministers and dignitaries, and liberator descendant Liz Moreno, followed by the contemplative walk, or a name-reading ceremony at the location with harp and violin.

It will conclude with talks by Holocaust survivor, Dr. Zsuzsanna Ozsváth, author and professor of Holocaust studies at UT-Dallas, Nazi descendants Bärbel & daughter, Anna-Suzette Pfeiffer, and rescuer descendant Dr. Margaret Nikol. All events will take place at the site of the future Holocaust Garden of Remembrance at King’s Harbor.

1:00pm – 1:45pm Music, registration, and T-shirt sales
2:00pm – 2:45pm Opening ceremony with dignitaries
2:45pm – 3:45pm Walk (2.2 miles) and victim name reading on site (for those who cannot walk)
3:50pm-4:30pm Testimonies of Holocaust survivors, Nazi and liberator descendants
3:00pm – 4:30pm refreshments, shmoozing and book signing
