“Ambassador For Christ” Laid to Rest: Reverend Dr. F.N. Williams leaves a solid legacy to be remembered by all

When you think about substance and impact, as it relates to advocacy and uplift for the Black community in the City of Houston, you must put Reverend Dr. Floyd Nathaniel (F.N.) Williams near the top of the list. The iconic pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was laid to rest this past Saturday, October 12th at God’s Grace Community Church.  He was 95.

The Greater Houston community came together to mourn Rev. Dr. Williams, as they bestowed upon him the respect and adoration deserving of an extremely important figure, not just in the Black community, but in the Greater Houston community as a whole.

On Thursday, October 10th, there was a visitation held at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church from 1 pm to 6:30 pm, and then a Ministers and Community Farewell Appreciation Service was held immediately after.  On Friday, October 11th, his body lay in state from 11 am to 6 pm at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, to give the public an opportunity to pay their respects before the funeral.
